One of myย coworkers walks in the breakroom to hear this conversation:

Another coworker: "so are they holding your job open for when you come back?"

I answer "no, I put in my resignation, I'm really leaving, but God will provide when I get back"

"Well that's really cool what you're doing."

Her interests perks up "What is it you're doing?!"

"I'm going on a mission trip to 11 different countries next year."

She sighs, fans herย  face, and tears well up in her eyes. "I was just sitting in the office the other day saying how much I wish I could go on a mission trip. I want to go to Uganda."

I freak out.... I practically scream "I'M GOING TO UGANDA!!!"

We hug, as she cries and cries, and tells me how much her heart breaks for Uganda and the children there.

"That's where all the Christmas boxes go, I make Christmas boxes and send them to Uganda. But I have to work, I have children. I can't go. But God knows how much I wish I could."

Wow. In the unlikeliest of places, people who I never knew had a broken heart for the nations are being put in my path. Encouraging me. Saying "hug them for me, love them for me"

As I turned to leave, I heard her say to another coworker "My God is an awesome God."

Yes. Yes He is.
