I know why the rich young ruler walked away sad.

Getting rid of stuff is tough.
Getting rid of anything that we feel entitled to, really.
I've had several people earnestly ask me why I'm not getting a storage unit for all my things.

God said no.
Trust me, I asked.
Loud and clear, booming "NO"

Can I keep the furniture?
What about my decorations?
Appliances?
But what about the handy stuff?
Kitchen stuff?
Really?
NOOOOOOOO.
Okay… well… *sigh* alright. Here we go.

But God, are You sure??
It's gonna be so hard to sell it all?? And carry it?? And advertise for it??

–> insert anxiety, worry, crying, spazzing, mild to moderate flailing <–

Okay, I'm gonna just take some pictures and post these things on facebook, see how it goes.

2 days later… SOLD.
TV, couch, dresser, washer, dryer, mattress & boxspring, table, chairs, decorations, rugs, clock, wine rack, Nook, and yes, the Mossberg 500 Bantam 20 gauge PINK CAMO shotgun.

Whatever is left, you better believe is gonna get sold this week.
The small items are going to the garage sale on Saturday.

God said to sell it all, and it evaporated. He already knew how quickly it would get bought. All those generous hearts were prepared.

He's letting me keep my car. It's paid off. It's gonna be at my parents' house and they'll keep it for me for when I get back. I asked 🙂

I know why the rich young ruler walked away sad.

I also know the alternate ending to the story, because I stuck around and I can't describe the joy.
