Last night I shared the hardest part of my testimony…
with the main congregation at Templo Cristiano.

I read them scripture, especially Psalm 116, I explained to them what happened, and, with tear-filled eyes, I declared that there is hope for those who have been hurt.
I declared that I am a cherished daughter, and God had healed the deep wound in my heart.
I declared victory to the glory of God.
The people shouted “AMEN” and applauded.

Then the pastor came up to me on the pulpit and said
“I have a word to share with our sister Helena”
and he read Isaiah 54:4-8
Here’s my victory:

“Do not be afraid; you will not suffer shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
And remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
For your Maker is your husband—
The LORD Almighty is his name—
The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
He is called the God of all the earth.
The Lord will call you back
As if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—
A wife who married young,
Only to be rejected,” says your God.
“For a brief moment I abandoned you,
But with deep compassion I will bring you back.
In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
But with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,”
Says the LORD your Redeemer.

Amen y Amen

  1. This is beautiful. You are beautiful! Praising God for this and you and the pastor. I do not know your testimony, but I know you were broken, hurting, and crying and God has healed and will continue to heal you. So glad you are boldly sharing your heart – I know it touches the people you come in contact with, because Jesus holds it!

God bless you, sister in Christ!

  2. Your story is powerful and is changing hearts here! Thanks for being available and using it. What man had purposed for evil God is using for good! Blessed to have you as a sister.
